1945 is the Last Year of Half Silver Coins Minted for One Rupee .From 1945 the silver price has shooted and coins are stopped in circulation. Later Silver coins mintage in India is confined to ProofSets, VIP sets..

Personal Attention:  Three Years Ago I had a Bag of Coins  which I Found some Interesting . Till the day i was counting of Mintwise coins like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkatta . Suddenly one coin flung with "L" Entry. I just ignored as usual it might be some lucknow coin mint or something else. But One find day as i am reading in News papers Coin collectors are very Eager to  Lahore Mint coins. I thought the what is the use in knowing more on pakistan currency. My Eye balls came down to Last line of News paper . Oh !! Then i Realised the coin which i Have in bag is "LAHORE MINT".Then i came to realise that Lahore was part of Indo Pakistan during the Mint year 1945. So i had a passion of collection Lahore mint coins than other. The Reason is Indian coins can be found a lot . But the Coins minted with united indo pak can never back except the memories which can bring from those coins.

Some Intersting Facts we just simply ignore but there is lot of Knowldge involved behing the coins..
