New collectors be aware of Temple tokens and do not fall into trap



In 2010, I travelled to Shirdi and visited Ajanta caves in Maharastra. I found so many people are selling these type of below coins pretending that they are anicent coins during the time of 1600's which are extremely rare . But the good thing is they are fooling with high price they are just charging around Rs 100- 200 approximately depends upon the size of the coin.


But still these are not minted by Govt of India or EAST INDIA rather they are just an imitation. They dont have any value. New collectors please be aware that these are called temple tokens found most of the places predominently near ancient temples or caves.
